Four arrests in Monday’s shooting near Westminster

Four young Anderson men were arrested in Oconee County in the investigation of a shooting early yesterday morning near Westminster. The wounded individual was sent to a Greenville hospital, but the Sheriff’s Office is not releasing his name, condition, nor the location where the shooting occurred. Several public safety vehicles, however, were spotted during the 5 o’clock hour yesterday morning on 183/the Westminster Highway in the vicinity of Bennett Road. The four people arrested were detained during a Walhalla police traffic stop on SC 28 near the highway 11 bridge. The men arrested and the charges against them were Burris Tyune Deangelo, accessory after the fact of a felony; Malik Laheddrick Jaton Fort, attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime; Marquis Olander Miller, accessory after the fact of a felony; and Alantez Kezhaun Demi Rice, accessory after the fact of a felony.
