Florence “Sissy” Floyd Franks

Seneca, SC — Florence “Sissy” Floyd Franks, 63, wife of 41 years to the late Homer Burrell Franks, Jr., of Seneca, left for her Heavenly home, after a short battle with cancer, at Cottingham Hospice House, on Friday, September 6, 2024.

 

A native of Royston, GA, Mrs. Franks was the daughter of the late Henry and Sallie Mae Carter Floyd. She loved life, music, dancing, and her family and friends. She was proud to have worked at Schilletter Dining Hall of Clemson University for 34 years. Mrs. Franks was a member of Rock Springs United Methodist Church.

 

Mrs. Franks is survived by her daughter: Betty Rogers (Robin) of Seneca; brother: Henry Lee Floyd of Hartwell, GA; sisters: Sallie Holmes of Hartwell, GA and Louise Wallace of Elberton, GA; and many nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Franks was preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law: Homer B. Franks, Sr. and Margaret R. Franks; sisters: Frances Gunnells, Alice Risner and Peggy Jackson; and brother: Dallas “Little Brother” Daniel Floyd.

 

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Rock Springs United Methodist Church.
