EF-1 hits Bountyland

The National Weather Service reports an EF-1 tornado hit Bountyland late Saturday afternoon.  It lasted about two minutes and there was property damage.  It winds, calculated at 90 miles an hour, flipped at least one car and damaged buildings, including one in the vicinity of the railroad track on SC 188/the Keowee School Road.  Some of the damage was picked up live by surveillance cameras, including the ones at CVS.  NWS reported the tornado stretched 1.2 miles, 15 yards or 45 feet wide.  At 5:53 pm Seneca Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle collision.  The high winds flipped the car.  This EF-1 occurred nearly to the day of the one-year anniversary of the EF-3 tornado in Seneca and surrounding areas.
