Coroner’s Office Issues Press Release on Child’s Death

Robbie Prang, age 3, of 138 Our Road, Walhalla, died in the intensive care unit at Greenville Memorial Hospital during the noon hour on Wednesday afternoon (July 22^nd).

This death is being investigated by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Department, SLED, and the Oconee County Coroner Office.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday to assist with her death investigation.

On Saturday afternoon (July 18^th), Miss Prang was found unresponsive in an in-ground pool located at a neighbor’s residence near her home.

Miss Prang was initially taken by EMS to the Oconee Memorial Hospital emergency room; she was resuscitated and transferred to Greenville Memorial.

Her death remains under investigation and no further details will be released at this time from the coroner’s office.

As is necessary, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Department will release any further information regarding their investigation.
