Clemson parade to precede Saturday’s football game

If you are not bothered by the prospect of mingling with 80 thousand football fans Saturday afternoon in Clemson, you probably won’t be bothered a parade through the campus streets the night before. Each year on what’s considered “First Friday” the Clemson community comes together with a parade that features community groups, university employees, sororities, and other student groups. This one will start at 6 pm at Centennial Boulevard near the northeast corner of Littlejohn. Starting at 5 o’clock, access to the roads on the parade route will be limited to participants and spectators. Parade theme will be “Setting the Stage for Greatness” and the grand marshal will be 1990 graduate Nancy O’Dell, a national TV broadcaster.
