Catina Marie Stargel Hawkins
Seneca – Catina Marie Stargel Hawkins, 57, wife of John Mark Hawkins, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Oconee County, she was the daughter of Lloyd Eddie Stargel and the late Emily Anne Vinson Stargel. Catina was a retired teacher with the School District of Oconee County and was of the Christian Faith. Catina’s greatest love was caring for and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband and father, Catina is survived by a son, Jordan Daniel Hawkins of Seneca; daughter, Tara Ann Patterson (Ricky) of Walhalla; brother, Todd Stargel of Westminster; sister, Kimberlee Anne Stargel of Westminster; grandchildren, Joseph Tucker Patterson, and Samuel Levi Patterson.
Per Catina’s wishes, no formal service will be held. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Sandifer Funeral Home.
