Seneca, Daniel win in volleyball

In high school volleyball on Wednesday, the Seneca Lady Bobcats defeated West-Oak in Western AAA play in five sets by scores of 25-22, 25-27, 25-27, 25-22 and 15-10. Elsewhere, it took Daniel three sets to beat Walhalla by scores of 25-21, 25-15 and 25-14. Up next, Seneca will host Daniel on Monday, while Walhalla will host West-Oak.

Braves drop one to Miami

Jose Reyes hit a two-out RBI single in the 10th inning Tuesday night, and the Miami Marlins overcame an awful ninth inning to snap the Atlanta Braves’ four-game winning streak with a 4-3 victory. Atlanta lost to Miami for only the fourth time in 14 meetings. The series will wrap up Wednesday night at 7:00 PM.
