The Seneca High School Softball team lost to Union County 5-2 Monday night in the opening round of the 3A Upper State playoffs. The Lady Cats now face an elimination game on Wednesday against the loser of Tuesday’s Daniel-Chapman game.

The Walhalla High School Girls Soccer team defeated Chapman 2-0 Monday night in the first round of the playoffs. The Lady Razors will now travel to Eastside on Wednesday for a second round game against the Eagles.

The Atlanta Braves defeated the New York Mets 9-4 Sunday afternoon at Turner Field in Atlanta. The Braves are now 18-12 on the season. They open up a 3-game series in Cincinatti Monday night. It will be the first game of a 10-game road trip.
