Walhalla appoints James Ashton

Walhalla has expanded the duties of fire fighter James Ashton. In addition to Ashton’s responsibilities for enforcing property codes, Ashton will also serve as the point man for zoning applications. In that capacity, he’ll serve as an advisor to the city’s board of zoning appeals which considers variances to the zoning ordinance.

A second straight Monday of telephoned bomb threats are being investigated by law enforcement in and around Seneca. No explosives were found and no injuries were reported.
