The Oconee County Sheriff’s department is seeking help in solving vandalism cases in the the area.  The sheriff’s department says between March 4th and 29th a number of vandalism incidents were reported in the area of Bountyland Road and Poplar Springs Road, near the Foothills community church.  Reports of damages to yards, homes and vehicles were reported in the area.  […]

Oconee County Sheriff’s department is asking the public for assistance in locating a missing Oconee Teenager.  Katherine Lidley, 16,  was reported missing on February 27 around 6 am from her foster home in Westminster. Oconee Drug Arrests Nabs 2 Georgia Men

Violent Crime Down in SC

Violent Crime in South Carolina is on the decrease.  That’s according to a report released today by  the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.  SLED Chief Mark Keel says the rate of violent crime decreased 2.2 percent in 2011 compared to 2010.  Keel says while the rate has decreased overall, some categories of violent crime have increased.  Murders in South Carolina increased by […]
