A controlled burn created a brush fire early this afternoon inside the Salem Fire Department service territory. Fire burned an area of about 100 feet by 125 feet along Stamp Creek Road. Some yard implements were lost in the fire, according to one fire fighter.

State troopers report injuries early this afternoon in an accident on I-85 in Anderson County. The accident was reported around 1 o’clock at the four-mile marker, northbound side.
