Just in time for summer recreation, the Keowee-Toxaway Basin is officially “out of any drought designation.” A Duke Energy announcement this afternoon says rainfall has improved storage in the utility’s reservoirs and met other conditions in the regional drought plan. A 34-year old Georgia man convicted of conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine has been sent to prison for 25 years. The S-C Attorney’s General Office today announced that Antonio Emerson Tate of Lawrenceville was convicted Friday in Greenville General Sessions Court.
