A contractor has announced that part of Seneca’s N. Townville Street will be closed starting Monday for road construction. According to Earth Materials Grading of Belton, N. Townville Street—from E. N. 2nd to Hopkins Road—will remain closed until mid December. Affected traffic should follow a detour route onto N. Depot by E. N. 2nd and Hopkins.

Stolen guns and jewelry have been recovered by sheriff’s officers in their investigation of burglaries this summer in three rural Oconee County communities.
