An Oconee County councilman has announced the postponement of a meeting this evening between county and the mayors of three cities. The meeting was planned at Seneca’s Cross Creek Plantation. But, in an email announcement, County Councilman Paul Corbeil said, “There was a misunderstanding on my part about access to the community, plus there are several questions about the agenda.”

Oconee deputies Judson Minyard and Daniel McGowan graduated December 20 during ceremonies at the S.C. Criminal Justice Academy. They became the fourth and fifth Oconee officers to complete the academy since Mike Crenshaw took over as Sheriff in January last year. Minyard and McGowan have been assigned road patrol duties.
