Heritage Center worker receives employee award

Jennifer Moss, assistant curator at the Oconee Heritage Center, has been named 2014 Pendleton District Hospitality Employee of the Year. Moss will represent Oconee County and the Pendleton District at the Governor’s Conference on Tourism and Travel in Myrtle Beach. She has also been nominated for the award of state Hospitality Employee of the Year.

 Crews are currently working a traffic accident on Long Creek Highway (Hwy 76) at Brasstown Road. The accident involves an overturned “18 wheeler” that has blocked the roadway.
