New leadership is in place on the board of directors at Oconee Memorial Hospital. During a meeting Friday, the board elected Gene Blair as vice chairman. Blair succeeds Cecil Turner, who has taken over the chairman’s seat. The position of chairman opened when Rick Phillips became a member of the parent board of directors of the Greenville Health System.

In the investigation of a burglary at a Seneca restaurant, the police Friday arrested an employee and charged him with burglary second degree and grand larceny.
