Midnight hour home fire

A midnight home fire near Westminster has displaced four occupants of a mobile home.  Oconee Rural Fire Control reported multiple fire units spent as much as nearly three and a half hours at the fire scene, on the Rufus Land Road in the Cleveland-Madison communities.  The American Red Cross is assisting the displaced occupants—one adult and three children.

Seneca business burglary

The police are at the scene of an overnight burglary on Seneca’s 123 By-Pass.  Major Jeremy Rothell says the crime occurred at Always Money, near the Mountain View/Seneca Drive traffic lights.  No immediate word on what was taken.  A caller to 101.7/WGOG reported police tape around the crime scene, and Rothell says police are there gathering evidence.
