Westminster wants a new software system that its mayor pro-tem hopes will be more transparent to those following the city’s financial dealings.  Susan Ramey, the newly-elected mayor pro-tem, has asked City Administrator Jeff Lord to run advertisements as soon as possible.  The city council last week received a presentation from an interested vendor.

Long Creek fire

Fire broke out in a Jeep yesterday at Long Creek and spread to an ATV parked next to it.  Adam Williams of Oconee Emergency Services says fire fighters were able to extinguish the fire before it could spread further to a nearby house.
