To the shop for repairs

A car maneuvering into a Main Street parking space in Walhalla apparently jumped the curb this morning and took down a street light and flag pole.  The falling pole is said to have narrowly missed a nearby parked car.  We’re told city workers took the damaged pole to the shop in hopes it can be repaired.

Anderson attorney Mike Glenn has agreed to serve as guardian ad litem for the Rev. Members of the Oconee Chamber of Commerce at Seneca have only a few days to vote on whether they think it is a good idea for the chambers of commerce in Seneca, Walhalla and Westminster to consolidate  The Oconee chamber is conducting an online survey to gather opinion.  The deadline to vote is 4 o’clock Monday afternoon.

Accident near Walhalla intersection

Three cars have collided on Walhalla’s E. Main Street/SC 28 near N. Earle Street.  The police say the acciident occurred as one of the vehicles attempted a left turn off 28 into the parking lot of the Kountry Kupboard restaurant.  According to Capt. Paul Harris one or possibly two people will be sent to the hospital.
