Well-placed sources say a deal is in the works for the Littletons to sell their large downtown building.  Two prospective buyers have been identified to 101.7/WGOG NEWS.  The Main Street building occupies about one-half of the block between S. College and Tugaloo streets and includes Martha’s Marketplace Café and the Flag and Confederate memorabilia store.    

The annual consumers’ meeting of the Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative takes place at the Pickens office this evening, with entertainment by the Primitive Quartet starting at 4:30 and the business meeting at 7. All Blue Ridge members can register for free prizes plus there’s free food and a door prize for each registered member.
