Manslaughter charge filed

Additional findings have led authorities to charge a South Oak Street, Seneca man with manslaughter in the death last week of Thomas Ivester Marks.  An autopsy showed Marks died of complications from a stab wound to the abdomen.  A warrant, signed by investigator Michael Teramano, charges Donald Clark Walker of 413 S. Safeplast NA Company, a maker and provider of hose protectors and hose binding products, will build in the Pickens County Commerce Park.  Announcement from the State Department of Commerce states Safeplast will make a $4.3 million investment and create 30 jobs.  The company is affiliated with Safeplast Finland.  The 300,000 square building will serve as the company’s North American headquarters.  […]

Motorcycle crash near Clemson

Motorists have alerted 101.7/WGOG NEWS to the crash of a motorcycle on 123 in the vicinity of Jacobs Road.  Georgia state troopers have been seen in the vicinity, giving rise to the thought that a law enforcement pursuit preceded the accident.  One motorist said he saw the motorcycle pass Ingle’s at Seneca on its way toward Clemson.
