Carey P. McTaggart
Seneca, SC — Carey P. McTaggart, 82, husband of Rachel Alene Loudermilk McTaggart, of 106 Lakeview Drive, Seneca, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020, at his home.
A native of Bishop, TX, Mr. McTaggart was the son of the late Lee Hanks and Minnie Luceal Johnson McTaggart. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force in 1980 as a Senior Master Sergeant. Mr. McTaggart was decorated 15 times during his 22 years of honorable service to his country. He was employed with Duke Power, Oconee Nuclear Site, Security Department from 1980 until his retirement in February 2000. He was a member of Seneca Masonic Lodge #185, A.F.M. and a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason. Mr. McTaggart was a member of Utica Baptist Church in Seneca, SC.
In addition to his wife, Mr. McTaggart is survived by his son: Gregory Scott McTaggart of Gastonia, NC; brother: George McTaggart (Lana) of West Columbia, SC; and sisters: Janice Canady of Aiken, SC, Anne Workman (Richard) of Lexington, SC, Faye Philie of Viera, FL and Judy Hood (Albert) of Dublin, GA.
In addition to his parents, Mr. McTaggart was preceded in death by his son: Kenneth Lee McTaggart of Lake Elsinore, CA; and sister: Hazel Yvonne Courtney of Aiken, SC.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family is at their respective homes.
