BETTY HUNNICUTT
Westminster – Betty June Helfenstein Hunnicutt, 72, wife of Jerry Lee Hunnicutt, passed away on Monday, March 20th, 2023 at Prisma Health – Oconee Memorial Hospital.
Born in Bismark, North Dakota, Betty was the daughter of the late Edward “EJ” Helfenstein and Cecelia DeCoteau Helfenstein. Betty formerly was in Business Management with the North Dakota Department of Natural Resources and of the Pentecostal Faith. Betty enjoyed deer hunting with her husband and puzzles, and she was a member of the Turtle Mountain Band of the Chippewa Indian Tribe.
Betty is survived by her husband of 48 years; son, Larry Helfenstein; daughter, Debbie Helfenstein; brothers, Edward Helfenstein, Gary Helfenstein, and Regent Helfenstein; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her brothers, Richard Helfenstein, and Danny Helfenstein; and her sister, Marge Windherst.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
