Royster leaving Gamecocks

South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier said after Sunday’s practice redshirt freshman safety Sheldon Royster has left the program. Spurrier would not say why Royster is transferring.  Royster was a heavily recruited prospect from New Jersey who redshirted last season. Japan won the Little League World Series Sunday in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, with a lopsided 12-2 victory over the team from Goodlettsville, Tennessee.
