Moped hits dog near Walhalla

Around 9 o’clock last night near Walhalla, a moped struck a dog on the Rock Crusher Road.  The injuries to the adult male moped operator required a medical helicopter transport.  No immediate word this morning on the man’s condition.  Public safety responders were unable to locate the dog.
