A freedom of information request at Walhalla’s James Brown Elementary School is scheduled as a legal update for Oconee school trustees when they hold their November meeting Monday night in Walhalla.  The legal briefing is scheduled for the private part of Monday’s meeting where the county trustees will also take up personnel matters—employment recommendations and changes.

Veterans are invited for a breakfast at 9 o’clock this morning at the Walhalla Middle School.  It’s a traditional event, and this morning’s breakfast will be followed by an assembly that honors those who served the country.

A noon hour pickup truck accident claimed the life of a 72-year old man near Westminster.  Coroner Karl Addis says the victim yesterday on Edgewater Drive near the Cobb Bridge Road was William A.
