Rollover car accidents in Oconee County

One vehicle overturned last night in a highway 28 accident reported in front of the Walhalla Zaxby’s.  Late yesterday afternoon motorists on 123, the Seneca-Clemson corridor, made their way past a rollover accident on 123 and Corinth Drive.  An overturned vehicle appeared to be wedged against a steep embankment on the Seneca bound side of the four-lane highway.

Carousel lights judged for grand prize

A West Union home, not far from Anderson Street, has won the grand prize in the judging of that town’s Christmas decorations.  Nalleli Rodriguez Cruz wins a $50 dollar credit card gift.  According to Mayor Linda Oliver, the judges likely were impressed by the Christmas lights at 102 Eastpointe Drive that included a lighted carousel.

Omicron the dominant variant

CDC now estimates the highly transmissible Omicron variant is the dominant variant in the U-S representing 73% of cases.  In some parts of the country representing over 90% of cases.  A shudder went through the Clemson University community when it when the university announced 10 confirmed cases of the new variant.
