Walhalla’s July 4 garbage pickup schedule

Russ Price, public works director for Walhalla, is alerting sanitation customers to the change that the July 4 holiday will mean for pick-ups.  Those customers who normally see their trash scooped up on either Thursday or Friday, should have their roll cart out by 7 o’clock Wednesday morning.  All other Walhalla routes will run without change.

Missing pet in need of insulin

A 12-year-old pet dog has gone missing in rural Oconee County.  During the night, there had been no sightings of the Chihuahua, a diabetic in need of insulin.  The pooch went missing June 19 from Argo Road, Seneca area.  The owner requests if seen, please do not chase but call 864/367-3228.  A reward is offered.
