Around the 6 o’clock hour this morning, Oconee deputies went to a home near Whitewater Lake.  Sgt. Alan Sayre says the call centered on a report of a domestic disturbance.  “At this time,” he said, “the investigation is still on-going and there is no further information at this time.”

South Carolina U-S Senator Tim Scott has a new chief of staff.  He’s Charles Cogar, who worked 10 years as Scott’s legislative director.  Earlier Cogar held various roles in the offices of three other Republican senators and was a senior policy advisor to Scott on the Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee.
