Three re-elected councilmen–Wayne McCall, Joel Thrift, and Reg Dexter–are to take the oath for their second, 4-year terms. Administering the oath will be Probate Judge Kenny Johns.

City of Walhalla trucks will make regular trash pickups on Christmas Eve, Monday, December 24. But a new Christmas week pickup date has been set for Walhalla sanitation customers who normally see their trash picked up on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Instead of Tuesday, December 25 and Wednesday, December 26, trash will be picked up Thursday, December 27.
