Frost trial this afternoon

The trial of a 44-year old man has been assigned a 1 o’clock start time this afternoon in the Oconee General Sessions Court. Steven Gregory Frost, arrested March 8, is charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor. Frost is being represented by Deputy Public Defender Danny Day, while Assistant Solicitor Lindsey Simmons handles the prosecution.

Human remains found Saturday morning in Rabun County, Georgia, in the vicinity of the Bartram Trail may be those of a missing hiker.   Authorities say a fire that damaged a house near Utica yesterday afternoon was intentionally set and the Oconee Sheriff’s Department is investigating.
