About 750 Oconee students, along with a fifth grade group from Clemson Elementary, took part last week in Ag Days at the Carolina Foothills Heritage Fair. Two persons were injured this morning in an accident near West Union. Their car went down a 75-foot embankment on the Burns Mill Road. A 96.3/WGOG NEWS source indicates the injuries were minor. CU student recognized by engineers

Clemson graduate student Daniel Lind has received a STAR award from the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. The awards recognize key contributors in the Hispanic community in the fields of science, technology, math and engineering. Miami native Lind studied at Clemson’s International Center for Automotive Research. In August, he received a master’s degree in automotive engineering.
