Boil water advisory lifted

City of Clemson has repealed the boil water advisory, implemented late last week when the main water line from Anderson required repairs. Clemson water customers no longer need to vigorously boil their water before cooking or drinking. According to the city, water samples from the line repair on Clemson Boulevard in Anderson County were analyzed and found to be safe.

Two-cars collided during the noon hour yesterday on U-S 123 between Seneca and Clemson at the Wells Highway intersection. A U-haul truck caught fire around mid-afternoon yesterday on U.S. 123 in Oconee County near Clemson. No one appeared injured, but the fire heavily damaged the truck’s cab and engine. The Oconee coroner’s office has identified Friday night’s victim of a head-on crash near Salem as 35-year old Stephen Matthew Boaman of the Pickens County community of Sunset.
