By 1 this afternoon, 15 of 41 people targeted in Oconee’s ninth “Operation Infinity” had been arrested. Officers across the county and inside the five towns are serving warrants charging a variety of drug offenses. Sheriff Mike Crenshaw said, “We are working to make Oconee County a safe place for our citizens to live, work and play.”

Seneca High School looked within to find its next varsity football coach, with the selection of Brett Turner, defensive coordinator for the Bobcats. Turner succeeds Gene Cathcart, who resigned. The school also chose K. Yon Radford as assistant athletic director.

Oconee Sheriff’s Office and the county’s five police departments are working together today to try to sweep the streets clear of drug offenders.
