Bartee parole chance this week

James Bartee gets a second chance at parole this week in Columbia.  Pete O’Boyle, spokesman for the State Probation, Parole and Pardon Board, has confirmed Bartee’s hearing Wednesday will be held in front of the entire board—whereas his failed attempt earlier this summer was handled by a three-member panel of the board.

Crash in Clemson

This traffic pole remained upright in spite of an accident late Sunday morning in Clemson. The small pickup involved didn’t fare as well, as it sustained heavy front damage.  The accident slowed eastbound traffic on U-S 123 in front of Gateway Village, home to Publix and McAlister’s.
