Electrical conduit remains in progress today at Walhalla’s N. College and Main.  Contractor crews hope today is the day they will cross the N. College intersection at the police and recreation offices.  More sidewalk is being poured at Main and Catherine and the plan is to re-open that sidewalk at 5 o’clock today.  

Clemson University has joined Anderson and Pickens counties Stormwater Partners.  The collaborative educates the public, youth, builders, developers, homeowners and government officials about how to keep water in the state’s streams, rivers and basins as clean as possible.  Clemson’s participation requires the university to closely monitor its stormwater discharges and conduct public education and outreach efforts to reduce water pollution.  […]

A tree gave way this morning near Walhalla’s N. Laurel Street and landed on an electric power pole.  According to Walhalla Fire Department, the contact created a light show for a mother walking her children toward a school bus.  No one hurt.  The fire department turned to the power company to make repairs.
