Seneca zoning change requested

Crescent Communities will seek a zoning change tonight in Seneca.  The city planning commission holds a 6 o’clock hearing at City Hall to consider the application to assign a R-15 zoning classification to property on the west side of the Old Salem Road—330 feet north of Loran Pointe Circle.  The property is now zoned PD-U.

Oconee’s library trustees are returning to Seneca!  Their next board of trustees meeting will be 5:30 Monday evening, September 28 at the Seneca Library, and the public is invited.  The Seneca branch is located at 300 E. South Second Street. The trustees reserve the start of their meeting to hear from the public about library service countywide.

Graham pursues partial abortion ban

Senator Lindsey Graham’s campaign for President fails to register with the polls, and he finds himself on the outside of a candidates’ forum today in Greenville.  But legislation introduced by Graham, the Oconee County resident, would ban abortions after 20 weeks.  His office says that bill will be debated and voted on in the Senate next week.

Jobless rate falls below 6%
