Voters who wish to exercise their civic responsibility, starting today, may vote early ahead of the state’s political party primary elections.  101.7/WGOG NEWS spoke with a couple of early voters and, according to one of them, the process was painless.  “They were not over-loaded,” he said.

The Oconee Food Council is promoting an event tomorrow morning in Seneca.  The Food Council is treating local farmers who operate and supply the various farmers markets in the county to a breakfast in the morning at the Blue Ridge Community Center.

In the 9 o’clock hour this morning, an accident at one of Walhalla’s busiest intersections:  Main Street and College.  One car believed to have sustained heavy body damage; EMS among the responders to the accident.

At 10 this morning, a ribbon is to be cut to open a new steakhouse in Oconee County.  It’s a Longhorn restaurant on an out parcel inside Hartwell Village.  And Dari McBride, the chamber president, is headed there.
