An overnight job for the Walhalla water crew.  They were at work to fix a line on SC 183/the Pickens Highway, near SC 11.  Customers there may be faced with a loss of service or water pressure.  More info available later.  The city hall prompt telephone has been updated to include this announcement.

A fire call during the night in the service territory of the Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department.  At 12:30 this morning, fire fighters were sent to a mobile home fire in Timberlake subdivision #2.  No injuries reported.  Fire fighters’ presence until 2:44.

What becomes of the former Seneca Middle School building and property could hinge on negotiations between the city and the school district.  Seneca is interested.  The catch may be the price.

“Handling Homeless Persons in Your Business” is the name of a meeting being arranged by the Oconee Chamber of Commerce.  For those businesspeople who go, two sheriff’s officers — Justin Murphy and Charles Mulwee — promise to provide tips.
