A last second Watson to Renfroe touchdown gave Clemson the national football championship, 35-31.  The Tigers were forced to come from behind to defeat Alabama. Last year Bama won the championship by beating Clemson by five points.  This time Clemson wins the championship by four.

Walhalla Fire Department responded to a heater motor fire last night that smoked up a home on Letson Circle.  During the weekend of winter’s first storm, Walhalla fire fighters handled eight calls—mostly downed trees and power lines.
