Soggy weekend!

Much of the weekend was wet, but the precipitation was welcome.  According to Official Weather Observer Barbara Wilson, the rain event gave Walhalla nearly two additional inches.  More rain is still needed, and the forecasts are promising for more rain in the first half of the new week.

Oconee Teacher Forum gives boost to pair of seniors

Bob Brock’s friends and co-workers are saluting him at a drop-in reception this afternoon at the Oconee County administrative office complex.  Brock chaired the Oconee Board of Voter Registration and Elections, but is retiring after 37 years.  The Walhallan is considered one of the longester serving election board members in South Carolina history.
