Schools monitor Irma’s track

Oconee School District continues to monitor Hurricane Irma and communicate with county emergency Preparedness to plan appropriate measures.  If it becomes necessary to delay or cancel school or adjust the bus routes, the district will communicate with families by phone, email, text message, websites, local Facebook and Twitter.

Request from cities in advance of Irma

Walhalla and Westminster are asking their sanitation customers to secure their rolling trash can carts to prevent the high winds from blowing them away until the storm passes on Tuesday.  The public works departments of the two municipalities also request that customers to not place brush and other debris by the sides of the roads.

Eye damage from the eclipse alleged in court filing
