Veteran Oconee sheriff’s officer Greg Reed has been designated to assist the Westminster Police Department in its time of need.  Sheriff Mike Crenshaw says Reed will start his special assignment on Friday.

In a two-hour effort, Walhallans removed 1,680 lbs. of trash–in their part in the Great Oconee Cleanup.  Oconee municipalities are competing for a $5 thousand prize to go to the municipality which picks up the most litter.

Walhalla Rotarians have decided to introduce music to their regular Monday luncheon meetings.  The debut was yesterday when Rotarian David Hyatt played acoustic guitar accompanying the singing of “God Bless America.”
