Walhalla invites public to next meeting

The regular September meeting of Walhalla City Council is planned 5:30 pm Tuesday, September 19 at City Hall.  At this meeting, city leaders are asking for public comment on the city’s business incentive program.  Last night Janet Hartman of the Oconee Economic Alliance said Walhalla currently has four active projects to assist building owners with façade and other improvements.

Bake sale raises money for hurricane relief

The president/CEO of Blue Ridge Bank, Kyle Thomas, is expressing his gratitude to the public for its generosity in raising money for the victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas.  In a one-day bake sale, the public’s participation brought in $2,845 at Blue Ridge’s three locations.  Thomas credits the kindness and generosity of the bank staff, clients, friends, and the community.
