Three elementary school students in the Seneca area earned recognition this month from the Seneca Rotary Club.  The Rotarians students of the month for January are Nevaeh Moore of Blue Ridge Elementary, Jeremiah Hunter of Ravenel Elementary, and Linley Hammett of Northside Elementary.

Your preference in a year to elect a President can be counted, but only if you are qualified voter.  The League of Women Voters has announced a voter registration drive today at Seneca High School.

After a trip to the Westminster Library, you can post the sign “Gone Fishing.”  Traditional fishing rods, fly fishing poles with flies, children’s fishing poles, and tackle boxes are now being loaned out by the Westminster Library, 112 W. North Avenue.  Bait is not included.  For the fish attractant, anglers are directed to local stores and gas stations.

The annual public meeting of the Oconee Legislative Delegation takes place at 7 tonight at the Westminster Depot.  The public is invited to speak to and to hear what’s on the minds of the county’s three state lawmakers as they start a new session of the General Assembly.
