Hiker takes ill near Bad Creek

A trail hiker apparently took sick and is the object of a rescue mission today in northern Oconee County.  Rescuers were sent to the vicinity of Duke Energy’s Bad Creek hydro project.  Scott Krein, the head of Oconee Emergency Services, says the hiker has been located and medics this afternoon were on their way to the hiker’s aid.
