Arguments next week in case of Townville shootings

The office of 10th Circuit Solicitor is expected to ask a judge next week to remand an underage defendant to General Sessions Court to be tried on charges that came from September 28, 2016—the day of shootings at the Townville Elementary School. Officers of the Anderson General Sessions Court predict the proceeding before Family Court Judge Edgar Long could take five days. 101.7/WGOG NEWS has learned that Monday is reserved for motions in the state’s case against Jesse Dewitt Osborne; Tuesday-thru-Thursday for witness testimony; and Friday for Judge Long’s decision. At the time of his arrest, Osborne was 14 years old.
