An active homcide investigation

Here’s an update of an active homicide investigation being conducted by the Oconee Sheriff’s Office.  If you have information on the murder of Joann McCarthy November 26 at her home near Westminster, you are asked to call Crimestoppers at 1/888-CRIME-SC.  You can also go to the website www.oconeelaw.com.  Crimestoppers’ promise is that all information is given is kept confidential.  If your tip leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward.  The Thanksgiving weekend shooting death occurred at the widow’s home on Creekwood Lane, between Little Country Lane and n. highway 11.  Capt. Greg Reed said, “Our investigators are asking for anyone who may have information they want to share or who may have been traveling on in the area of Creekwood Lane during the early morning hours of Sunday, November 26 to contact us if they saw anything suspicious.
