A fire that spread to a Friendship community home

An outdoor fire spread yesterday to the siding of a home in the Friendship Community near Seneca.  Walter Lee of the Friendship Volunteer Fire Department said, in all, as many 20 fire fighters were sent to Richardson Drive near the Friendship Valley Road, alerted at first to a report of a burning lawnmower.  The fire spread to a golf cart and, then, to the siding of the home.  All occupants got out safely.  Because of 90-degree temperatures, the crew of fire fighters kept re-hab equipment close by.
