What Seneca’s state lawmaker says about the virus

Bill Sandifer, Seneca’s state representative, is aware of those newly-announced claims for unemployment compensation. But, for now, he’s confident that South Carolina does have the money for the claimants who qualify. Should the state’s pool of jobless funds deplete South Carolina, he says, can turn to the federal government. Part of the federal relief package has money to dole out to those who in some way lose their jobs to the impact that COVID-19 is causing. In an interview with 101.7/WGOG NEWS, Sandifer also said he believes Governor McMaster is handling the state situation well and respects the measured approach that the governor has taken so far.
